Client's Concern

The client wanted a complete landscape overhaul of their property off Lakeshore Drive in Grosse Pointe. The existing landscape lacked structure, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Their goal was to create a timeless, inviting outdoor space with a large patio, an outdoor kitchen, and upgraded plantings for privacy and seasonal beauty.

Our Approach

Grow Earth led the full landscape transformation, turning the client’s vision into a functional and visually striking outdoor environment.

Full Landscape Removal: We started by removing the entire existing landscape—stripping all sod and clearing debris to prepare a clean slate for the new design.
Hardscape Construction: A new paver front entrance was installed, followed by the construction of a spacious backyard patio. This included an outdoor kitchen and a gas-powered fireplace, enhancing the property’s usability and entertainment potential.
Phased Execution The project began in 2024 with demolition and prep work. In April 2025, we initiated paver construction with multiple pillars, lighting, and paver steps and walls, all built using Unilock Pisa2, chosen for its strength and classic aesthetic.
Landscape Design by Expert: Architect The planting plan was designed by Robert Marzolf, a renowned landscape architect. His layout introduced a variety of trees and plantings selected for privacy, texture, and seasonal color, in harmony with the property’s architecture.

Final Touches

We completed the project by installing a new sprinkler system and applying fresh sod throughout the yard, ensuring both beauty and ease of maintenance.

Outcome

The result was a stunning and cohesive outdoor space designed for both daily enjoyment and long-term durability. The custom hardscaping, expert planting plan, and modern outdoor kitchen brought the entire vision to life—adding real value and year-round functionality to the property.
